Hamas specifically said that they were trying to commit genocide against Israel. Israel is not trying to commit genocide. It is only trying to eradicate Hamas because Hamas wants to eradicate all Jews.
Israel asked Palestinian civilians to please leave Gaza so that they would be safe. That is not what you tell a people if you are trying to kill them off.
The only reason civilians are being killed at such high numbers is because Hamas has specifically embedded itself into civilian areas – homes, schools, hospitals. Hamas even asked Palestinians to not leave Gaza. Why? So that Hamas could claim the very thing they are now claiming – that Israel is trying to commit genocide.
Hamas is trying to use civilians as human shields. Hamas and other terrorist groups have been using this tactic for years.
Palestinians around the world and in my own neighborhood are using the age old tactic of yelling lies so loudly and often that those not paying attention to what is really going on get sucked up into the lies.
The truth is that Israel is not committing genocide.
Do I think it is horrific that women and children are dying? Absolutely! Do I wish it would stop? Of course!
But blaming Israel is exactly what Hamas planned to have happen when it attacked Israel in October last year.
Let’s not buy into the lie. Let’s remember the truth. Only truth can bring about true peace.
