God treats us like a toddler learning to walk

This is a quote from a friend of mine talking about how much God loves us and believes in us, even amidst our failings.

So know that today, God is cheering you on!

You are his adorable, beloved, little child.

When you fall, He will say, “You’re OK,” scoop you up, give you a hug and a smile and put you back on your feet for another go at it.

When you get tired, he’ll let you nap on His shoulder. He will cradle you until you are squirming impatiently.

Then He will gently set your feet on the ground so that you can go on another adventure with Him at your side.

I found out that I have Autism upon having a son with the same "disorder." Ironically, I was voted, "Most Likely to Succeed," by my high school classmates. But had I been born now, instead of 40+ years ago, I would have been considered a different sort of special. This site was started to encourage other Autistics and the people who love them .
